As part of your dental maintenance, our clinicians advise you attend for a routine dental check-up every 6 months. During your dental check-up our clinicians will:

  • Ask you if you have noticed any changes in your teeth or have any worries

  • Examine and chart all your teeth

  • Assess your gum health

  • Provide an oral cancer screen

  • Take x-rays if you are due

  • Take real-time photos of your teeth using our intra-oral camera technology

  • Discuss any findings from the exam and curate a tailored treatment plan

“What is included in a dental check-up?”

Our dental hygienists recommend making an appointment with them at least twice a year. Dental hygiene visits allow for a thorough assessment of your gum health followed by professional mechanical removal of plaque and tartar - leaving your gums healthy and clean.

Further monitoring of your gums may be necessary depending on whether your gum health is stable. Our hygienists will advise you if they feel you require further hygiene appointments. If you would prefer to visit the hygienist on a more regular basis, speak with our hygienists and our team can discuss which dental plan is best suited for your needs.

“Do I need more hygiene visits?”

Choosing a plan can be tricky, especially when they include lots of benefits like ours! Our team has curated 3 plans to simplify the decision-making process for you. The main difference between our plans is the number of times you would like to book dental hygiene visits per year.

Our standard plan is the most popular plan offered to patients as this provides you with 2 visits with the dentist and 2 visits with the hygienist per year. This allows our clinicians to maintain and track your dental health journey at reasonable intervals.

Speak with one of our clinicians today and they can advise which plan is best suited for your needs.

“Which plan is best suited for me?”

The short answer is yes! However, there are some things our clinicians will need before joining you onto a plan. You will need to have:

  • Booked and attended a New Patient Examination with one of our clinicians

  • Be classed as “dentally stable” by our clinicians prior to joining a plan

  • *For children under 18, parents need to be registered with us.

Dentally stable - when you present with no tooth decay or require any active treatment and/or have no treatment plans open with our clinicians.

“Can I join a plan today?”

All of our plans are in partnership with Practice Plan - the UK’s leading dental membership provider. In order to become a smile club member and join a plan, you will need to pay a one-off joining admin fee of £9.50

Following this, you can decide how you would like to make your payments:

  • Monthly direct debits which are usually taken in the first week of every month

  • Annual direct debits which are debited from the month you decide to start your plan

“How will I be billed for my plan?”

Our goal at Whitefield Dental is to drive preventative dentistry and ensure you have the necessary tools in place to ensure you are optimising you dental health.

Regular recall appointments every 6 months gives our clinicians the opportunity to examine your dental health and provide you the support and/or treatment to help maintain your teeth and gums.

Joining onto one of our plans makes booking your recall appointments simple, quick and hassle-free.

  • No deposits required to book your routine dental examinations

  • Guaranteed appointment with your clinician

Unsure about becoming a Smile Club Member? You can still access our services and join the clinic as a regular patient.
